An extensive catalogue for arts charity, Koestler Arts, for their 2018 exhibition shown at the Southbank Centre.

Background
Koestler Arts (previously The Koestler Trust) is a prison arts charity which organises an annual creative awards scheme for prison inmates, detainees and people in secure hospitals across the UK. Each year Koestler Arts showcases a selection of prisoner artworks (including  drawing, sculpture, painting, embroidery poetry, spoken word, short stories and woodwork) at the Southbank Centre.

A fellow designer and I were approached to design and execute the catalogue, which featured all 250 selected artworks  for the 2018 exhibition 'I'm Still Here'. We developed a clear design system with an emphasis on white space and balance through colour matching the art pieces across spreads. The outcome, a square perfect bound catalogue, was showcased and sold at the exhibition.

Testimonial
"Once we had chosen from the range of concepts they sent us, they were quick to start planning out the structure of the catalogue, finding ways to make the text stand out, and to differentiate the different sections….creating beautiful double-page spreads and groupings of images. They were very responsive to feedback, and very helpful with changes...demonstrat(ing) a meticulous attention to detail...Throughout the process they were a pleasure to work with...They couldn’t have been more helpful with a project with such a tight deadline and quick turnaround, and we are delighted with the end result."
