Cover design for Swiss based insurance company.
Background
BGV (Basellandschafliche Gebäudeversicherung or Buildings Insurance of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft) are an insurance company that cover damages incurred from natural disasters . They provide cover for the whole district of Basel-Land in three key areas; Prevention, Fire Brigade and Insurance.
In late 2020 I was approached as one of three designers to submit cover concepts for the BGV 2020 Annual Report, with a focus on ‘Insurance’. My outcome used a simple bubble metaphor, symbolising the protection insurance provides. Following initial concepts this was expanded to feature 12 gradients bubbles that visualise the 12 fire and natural hazards BGV cover.
